    Easy Artichoke Dip Recipe

This is one of my favorite appetizers because it requires minimal ingredients and little effort to create a delicious dip. It's the perfect appetizer to whip up at the last minute or when the cravings hit.

The rich, tangy flavors of the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese are a complementary base for the tasty, jarred artichoke hearts. Because of its simplicity, you can easily customize it however you like (seeĀ variationsĀ for some suggestions). Get ready to wow your guests with this irresistibly delicious, 4-ingredient baked artichoke dip.

    Ingredients

The ingredients you need for this recipe.
    • Marinated Artichoke HeartsĀ (quartered): Marinated artichoke hearts pack the dip with flavor without needing additional spices or seasonings, which makes this a simple recipe.
    • Mayonnaise
    • Cream CheeseĀ (softened): Use cream cheese that has been softened at room temperature. You can also use sour cream or full-fat Greek yogurt instead of the cream cheese.
    • Grated Parmesan Cheese: Parmesan cheese adds salty flavor and umami taste to this easy recipe. Swap it for mozzarella cheese for an even creamier texture.

See the recipe card for the ingredient quantities.

    Step-By-Step Instructions

All of the ingredients in a food processor container.
Place all of the ingredients in a food processor.
Dip blended in a food processor container.
      Blend until just combined.
A dish of unbaked dip on a small sheet pan.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
      1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
      2. Place all of the ingredients into a food processor. Blend until incorporated, with small pieces of artichokes remaining. *Alternatively, you can mix the dip by hand in a large bowl. Chop the artichokes before blending them in with the other ingredients.
      3. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch oval baking dish (or 8-inch baking pan) and bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
      4. Serve immediately with chips, crackers, toasted bread, or raw vegetable sticks.

      Variations

      • Spicy: For a touch of heat, add a dash of hot sauce or ½ teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.
      • Garlic: Add ½ teaspoon of garlic powder or one minced garlic clove.

What to Serve with Hot Artichoke Dip

Dip requires tasty edible vehicles for dipping. This creamy dip pairs with any salty, savory chip or cracker and fresh vegetables.

      • Chips: Try it with pita chips, tortilla chips, bagel chips, or classic potato chips.
      • Crackers: Multigrain, butter, or any classic cracker perfectly accompanies this creamy appetizer.
      • Bread: Spread hot artichoke dip over warm, toasted sourdough or baguette slices.
      • Raw Vegetables: Enjoy this recipe with crisp celery sticks, carrot sticks, or sliced bell pepper.

      Suggested Equipment

      • Food Processor
      • 9-inch Oval Baking Dish (as pictured)

      Storage

Store leftover artichoke dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

      Expert TipsĀ

      1. Grate the parmesan cheese from a wedge of cheese versus buying it pre-shredded.
      2. Bake the dip in a preheated oven for even cooking time.
      3. Pulse the mixture minimally or mix it by hand for large chunks of artichoke hearts.
