Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° F. Line a sheet tray with a lightly greased baking rack.
  • Prep: In a small shallow bowl, whisk together the almond flour, salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In an additional shallow bowl, place the gluten-free flour. Finally, in a third bowl, whisk one large egg.
  • Slice the 8oz block of halloumi cheese into 8 rectangles.
  • Assembly: *Using one hand for the dry ingredients and one hand for the wet. One at a time, dip each halloumi stick into the flour until coated (shake off excess), then the egg, and then coat in the almond flour. Repeat until all of the cheese sticks are coated.
  • Bake: Place the breaded cheese sticks onto the prepared tray. Bake for about 30 minutes, until lightly golden. For extra toasting, broil on low for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve immediately with a warm marinara sauce for dipping.
