Easy Honey Cornbread

This Easy Honey Cornbread is sweet and full of honey flavor. It is incredibly easy to make since it starts with a box of cornbread mix.

  • 1 15oz box cornbread mix
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • cup avocado oil
  • cup honey


  • Preheat the oven to 400° F. Grease an 8-by-8-inch baking dish. Grease and line with parchment for easy slicing.
  • In a large bowl, or the bowl of a standing mixer, beat the eggs. Add the cream, oil, and honey. Beat until everything well incorporated. Add the cornbread mix, the whole 15oz package, mix only until combined.
  • Pour the cornbread batter into the prepared dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If cornbread is becoming too brown on top, cover loosely with a piece of foil.
  • Allow the cornbread to cool before slicing.


Serve room temperature or warm with softened butter and an extra drizzle of honey, if desired.
